Back in business…

Well, I’ll have a new laptop today and should be back in business again.  I’ve accepted the $18,000 loss we suffered and have moved on.  I just hope we are treated fairly by the insurance company.  Anyway, I’m back in business!

I feel so VIOLATED!!!

My wife and I had the day off today as she had to go for her annual preventative ultra sound at the hospital.  We left home at 10h30 and returned around 16h00 this afternoon just to find that some son of a gun kicked our front door in, randsacked the house and stole a bunch of our stuff!

I FEEL SO VIOLATED!

OK, blame the idiot programmer!

In my last post talked about what I thought could be a bug in the Thread Isolation Model of SharePoint’s Event Sinks.  Well… just blame the idiot programmer… ME!!!
It turns out that I declared the wrong function as static… go figure!

I’m so disappointed…

I think I’ve discovered a pretty big bug in Windows SharePoint Services’ Event Sync Threading Model.  I’m putting my test case together to submit to Microsoft, but one thing is for sure… the moment I get the DF4 bits for SharePoint v3 I’m going to test this case to ensure it is fixed in the next release!
I guess I’m not really disappointed, but excited about discovering this potential bug…

A friendly cab driver?

Something unexpected happened to me on Friday.  I had completed my tour at the Office 12 TAP Technology Preview event and was heading back to the airport to catch my plane for home.
My driver, a guy called Daniel, driving Yellow Cab #115, was without question THE MOST FRIENDLY cab driver I have ever had the pleasure of meeting.
If you’re ever in Seattle and need a cab, don’t hesitate to look Daniel up!
